Organisational Structure

The Vienna International Nuclear Competence Centre consists:

• General Assembly
• Board of Directors
• Presidium
• Auditor
• Thematic Groups

The General Assembly

The VINCC governing body is the General Assembly. It consists of the appointed representatives of its Members. The powers of the General Assembly extends among other:

• To approves the VINCC’s long-term agenda;
• To appoint and discharge members of the Presidium and of the Board of Directors;
• To approve the annual accounts and budget;
• To admit new active members;

The Board and Presidium

The General Assembly has appointed a smaller Board entrusting it with the oversight of the day-to-day management activities and for establishing and implementing all internal and operational procedures to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the organization.

It has further created the Presidium to build international relations with relevant stakeholders, represents the VINCC in external events, and provide strategic recommendations to the General Assembly and the Board of Directors.

Auditors

Auditors are appointed by the General Assembly with the responsibility for auditing the statement of accounts on an annual basis.

Thematic Groups

The Thematic groups are forums through which VINCC members share best practices, conduct analysis and develop consolidated positions on economic, safety and environmental issues. In addition, they are responsible for developing, preparing and submitting projects and setting the VINCC’s objectives in the relevant area of competence.
